Well a quick update.

We had our event on Thursday.  Let me just say,  We rocked.  We were awesome. Everything from FruitLoop necklaces, to flowers to colored shirts.  We had it all.  Prizes, prizes and more prizes.  I was sure tired on Friday.   Glad I had the day off.

Now that it’s over I have spare time.

I need to get back on track, drink my water and start exercising.

Off to support one of the Abbotsford fundraisers tonight.  Should be lots of fun.  Casino night.  I hope I hear the bells,  ding ding ding…..

Well Hot Diggity Dog,  we had a hot dog sale as part of our fund raiser today.  You know what?  If you want to make some money quickly, that’s the route to go.   We got a few “No thanks” a few no replies no eye contact,  A few “I don’t eat hot dogs” but we did well. I’m impressed.

We have been out almost every night lately.  I could never be a famous person or the president of USA, as I’m pooped with just this schedule. WOW.  Thankfully a night to rest before we start organizing tomorrow.

Everything is coming together and we are organized and the team has gelled together nicely.  It’s been lots of fun.

I haven’t blogged much lately.  Just trying to think what is new.  Down about 12 pounds or so.  I’m pleased about that.  Cleaned out my closet the other day.  I was able to get rid of a bunch of pants and tops.  The first pair of pants that had to go where the ones I was wearing when I was running across the street to hit the walk signal and my pants almost fell off.  My theory has always been out with the old and in with the new.  So yes I went shopping. I was able to get some new shirts for work and they will be perfect to take to New York.

We’ve gone to two events this week the first one was The Pink Ladies they did a pub night.  Was so much fun.  The second one was a fashion show.  They out did themselves.  But we are going to rock this and put on the event of the year.  Just ask us.  LOL!!!

Hello Everyone,

Well our charity event is now falling into place.  We have chosen Breakfast Club of Canada and Shape Your World.  Breakfast Club of Canada provides free breakfasts for school aged children, in their school, 5 days a week.  Hungry children can’t focus on learning, developing and growing.  We are hoping to help end the cycle of hunger in school kids.  Please come out to our event on March 30th in Langley from 6pm – 10 pm at the Townhall Pub.  Get a ticket for yourself, friends, neighbor, kids, family.  Heck just buy one for anyone you want, but just come out and support this great event.  You will have lots of option to win a prize.  There is a great silent auction,  door prizes, 50/50, and so much more.

$1.00 raised feeds a child.

Oh and we are having a hot dog sale at Save on Foods March 25th from 11:00 – 2:00 at the Save on Foods on Fraser Hwy and 201.  $5.00 gets you a hot dog, chips and drink.




Getting ready for our make over this weekend.  Hair first, then make up and then the pictures. I’m not one to want my picture taken, but she did say she knows how to take pictures that will look like you are 10 pounds lighter.  I like that  perhaps she can take a couple of those.  Then some of us challenger girls are going out for dinner afterwards.  Should be fun.

Well it’s been about a week since I’ve blogged.  Here is how my week went.

Monday – Had the day off to lay on the couch and fight my cold.  My cold won.

Tuesday – Worked came home and slept on the couch after work

Wednesday  Worked came home and slept on the couch after work then off to our meeting.  Was hard to sit thru the meeting.  Just wanted to leave and go home.

Thursday – Worked and thought I had meetings in the afternoon and I didn’t they were next week. So with a free schedule I came home and crashed.

Friday – Had the day off to lay on the couch and fight my cold.  My cold is still winning

Saturday – Feeling better.  I got out of the house today to meet up with Bonnie and Sarh the very knowledgeable DoTerra lady.  She informed us all about the essential oils and the business.  She also gave us some oils to try.  I have always had a hard time sleeping.  I never get a full nights sleep.  Well I DoTerra’d my self up and boy oh boy did I have the best sleep of my life.  I didn’t hear a thing all night and slept till 5:30  Let the dogs out for a potty break and went back to bed.  Fast asleep again and woke up at 8:30.  FAN FREAKIN TASTIC….

My appetite is starting to come back and eating again.  Oh I knew it would.  I wasn’t worried about that. :)

Sunday – My biggest sleepin ever in my life right to 8:30.  (Doesn’t count that it was day light saving time the night before, I still slept in)   Out of the house by Noon.  Visit with a friend.  We went to pick up something and got totally lost.  Home and almost died (well it seemed like it, some twerp in a truck  cut us off on the Hwy)  Out getting a few groceries and home to make dinner. I think I did more today than I did all week.  Made Turkey/Feta/Spinach burgers OMG delish.  The challenge has really challenged me on trying new things.  Not only activities but food  Who ever would have thought I would have ate spinach and yams and a ton of veggies.  But you know what?  They are pretty good.

Well back to feeling 80% and start another round at work on Monday.  I’m so fortunate to have so many wonderful things in my life.   I love my job.  I love going to work every day.  My family, I love you all and your support thru this and my friends, who come out to all my events. Your love and support is appreciated.  Thank you everyone so much.

Well a busy day today.

8 am Boxing LOVED IT.  My favorite class so far.

9 am Barre for about 20 min,

Home to shower, then off to Shoppers for my Make Up makeover.  I’m sorry but I didn’t care for it AT ALL.  I felt like I old lady lips.  With the lips stick all over my face.  Then my eyes felt like I had spider legs hanging off my eye lashes.  I left most of it on for the day, but I did take off the lipstick.  Then we went off to Vancouver for the Health and Wellness show at the Vancouver Convention show. It was fun. I tried so many different things.  Hemp seeds, fish oil, which I’m pretty sure I’ll never try again and lots of juices and seeds and stuff I could never even pronounce.  Was fun.  I think we sampled our way thru the show.

I dropped Bonnie off, came thru the door, dropped my bags and washed my face.  I’m sure my eyes will be burning for awhile.

With all that being said, it was a good day.  I’m pooped but it was fun.

Hello everyone,  a new week with new challenges.

This part of our journey is creating a fund raiser…   Ooops I need to get to Zumba, I’ll finish this later..

Zumba was fun.

This part of the Total Make Over Challenge we chose a cause,and planning a fundraiser. All funds raised will go to Shape Your World Society and our project that we picked which is The Cinderella Project.

This will provide the funds for young adults to attend their proms dressed in away their families couldn’t provide for them. Which will take some pressure off the families and the person can feel proud when graduating.

We are seeking donations which we’ll put into a silent auction, and those funds will go towards The Cinderella Project and Shape Your World Society. This could be in the form of cash, gift cards, or items in the silent auction.

You’ll be giving back to your community and making a difference in someones life. How wonderful is that.

Well I’ve said I need to get out of my comfort zone.  Well this week will be very uncomfortable.

Tuesday is 7 – 8 pm Hip Hop, then from 8 – 9 PM is Yoga.

Wednesday is Weigh in

Thursday 7 – 8 PM Zuma

Friday a day to sit in a ice bath.

Saturday 8 – 9 am Boxing, then 9 – 10 am Barre.  Then I go for my make over at Shoppers at 11 am. After that, Bonnie and I are off to Vancouver to the Health and Wellness show downtown Vancouver.  Hopefully learn a few new trick and tips.

I did say i need to step it up.  Well hopefully i will be able to still step after the end of this week.

Should be a great week I’m looking forward to it..

This is how round two will look,  from Feb 23rd -April 5th, 2017, voting is Fri Mar 31st 3pm –Thu Apr 6th noon, 2017 and then the Cocktail Party & Announcing Top 5 + Wildcard is on the Wed April 12th, 2017 (6:30pm)

Feb 26

I was at the gym by 8:10 am today.  I did an hours workout this morning.

30 mins on the bike, 10 minutes on the stair master, Yes that’s right I jumped on this morning and did 6 flights of stairs.  I’ll need to keep doing that until we do our stair challenge cause that will kill me,   I also went out of my comfort zone and ran well not really ran but a jog, on the tread mill for 20 min.  I walked for 1 minute and jogged for 1 min.  So two things this morning I’ll need to keep up.  Oh round 2 what are you doing to me?  LOL!!!

I came home and bagged snacks.  I love snacks. I get two a day and once my two are done, that’s it for the day.  I find if I put them in the snack bags I limit them.  So that works for me.

After the gym I went to Cloverdale Rec Centre,  Bonnie and I may check out the yoga and other classes.  See what the cost is. It’s nice to have someone to keep me motivated,  as I need that.

I’ll post a few pic’s today.

I’ll keep fighting till I can make it to the end.  I know I need to step up my gym time and social media.  Get the inches off.  I’m doing well with my eating as I haven’t veered off the eating plan.  But Gym after work and join a yoga facility.  That’s my goal this next round.

The Amazing Race was on today it was fun.  I’m not sure if my car will ever be cleaned out of feathers   There’s sure allot of places I want to go back and check out.  Lemon Bakery,  Buns and Bowls to name just a few.  Thank You to the sponsors who handed out gifts. Well one more sleep till I find out if I made it to the top 15.  I sure hope I did, I’m not finished with my journey.  If I didn’t make it, I’ll work hard for the Wild Card spot.

Today was a day of getting ready.

1 – Slept in till 8, I needed that.

2 – Full tank of gas

3 – Snacks from Natures Fare for the Dashing Divas

4 – Washed my car,  ( I wish I had time to vacuum it out. )  sorry ladies.

5 – Grocery Shopped

6 – Visit with Sylvia to try and plan a route.

7 – Back down to pick up another prize for the Amazing Race prizes

8 – Home to do a bit of meal prep

9 – Dinner Time

10 – Get Costumes ready (well take tags off of them)

11 – Messaged the team

12 – Rest up

This has been a great 6 weeks, I’ve learned allot and have certainly tried allot of new things.  I’ve also met some wonderful ladies.  I’m not the most chatty one,  until I get to know you,  then I am.  I don’t enjoy my pictures being taken or doing videos.  I’m working on that.  So it’s all about getting out of my bubble and trying it.  There will be lots of pictures for the Amazing Race.

Thank You  Shape Your World Society for the book of tickets.   That was just one of many things we received last night.

Last night was my favorite week so far.  I love talking finance and thinking finance.  I don’t let money control me now, but I do control my spending.  Since becoming debt free, it’s such a weight off my shoulders.  I ask myself,  do I want that or need that.  If I want it, I don’t buy it.  If I need it.  I buy it. I’m in control not the interest rates and banks.

 Marlise Kelsey who is a financial adviser.   She knows her stuff.  She talked about good debt, bad debt.  Yes there is a good debt.  RRSP’s, RESP’s (this makes me want to sing R.E.S.P.E.C.T that is what you mean to me by Aretha) and RDSP’s.  If any of you know what these are.  Good for you.  If I was ever to leave a job I LOVE going to everyday, it would be for finance.  She was easy to listen to and she was funny.  She kept me interested.

The next speaker was, Sara Darwin with doTERRA.

doTERRA is a relativity new Essential Oil company in Canada.  The funny thing was, my Mom was telling me about this company on the way to the meeting.  I’m excited about trying out my samples.  Breath – promotes Healthy respiratory function.  On Guard – Diffuse for added immune support.  DigestZen – Apply to ease digestive discomfort.   We received a chap stick.  My favorite make up (is that make up?)  I will defiantly be setting up a meeting to talk to her about the business.

Tomorrow I’ll be getting ready for the Amazing Race  – Gas, snacks, canned goods for the Langley Food Bank.

Then Saturday is the Amazing Race day.  This should be lots of fun. A fun day finding clues and then finding if I make it to the next round.   eeeekkkk  I’m a little nervous.

I’m really excited about the next round.  I sure hope I make it.

Voting is over at Noon today.  I’d just like to say, Thank you all so much for your support.  All your shares and words of encouragement,  mean so much.

The Amazing Race is this Saturday.  It sounds like so much fun.  I’m exciting about the day.  Driving around all day with a group of wonderful ladies enjoying ourselves. What more can one ask for.

Note to self:  Get gas the day before.

We also find out after the Amazing Race if I made it to the next round.  I really want to continue on with this journey as I’m excited about the next challenge and continuing on this new health journey.  I feel so much better.

I managed to get in 325 steps in yesterday and 400 steps today on the stepper. I know I need to take bigger steps, but my feet keep going up and down up and down.  That will come.  I want to take on the Stair Climber, but that machine scares me.  it looks like Mount Everst. But I will one day.  I’ll walk up to it all brave and tell it , “you don’t scare me”  and “I’ll conquer you” but right now it scares me….

Voting is still going on, wow I would sure hate to be a politician.  this is nerve wracking.  I was 1 to 3 to 5 to 6 to 7 back to 3 to 4 then to 6 and I’ve been 6th for a while now.  I’m happy with 6.  Now hopefully all the votes count.  LOL!!!

I haven’t blogged for a bit.  We have been in a real seminar the past three days.  They said it’s a real tear jerker of a workshop.  With me not being a crier and I didn’t think I would cry at all this weekend, well I was wrong.  While talking about wanting to be around for others,  and wanting people to be healthy.  I was a blubbering mess.  I love them so much and want them to be happy again.

We made mission statements this weekend.  Mine was Assist , Coach and encourage people to breakdown barriers  to gain independence.  This is a rough draft I know, but it goes for my work life and personal life.

I committed to taking another challenge.  But this one I need to train for.  633 – Step Climb  The Urban Grind at the Harbour Center.  I don’t know what I was thinking.  But I’m off to the gym to start training for this.  let see if I can get past 20 steps.  OMG. What was I thinking.  I’m doing this March 28th.

Will also be doing my weekly shop at my new fav store Natures Fare.

Weigh in was yesterday,  yeah I was down this week.  I’m on the right track.  The two weeks prior I was up.  Not sure why but it is, what it is.  I haven’t gone off track at all since starting  I didn’t let it discourage me I kept watching what I was eating,  protein, water, protein , water…. record, record, record…

The Real Me seminar started last night.  Leanda and I had a few laughs.  It was great to hear the speakers and take in a few more tools.  They are in the tool box of life.

We are given several challenges along the way.  Work on our inner self, and outer self.   The challenge starts with 30 ladies from Langley and then to 15 ladies after voting.

Part of the process is the voting.  I’m needing everyone to vote for me. This will help me get to the next round.  You can vote up to 10 times a day from different IP addresses.  It goes for a week.  Feb 17 – the 23rd.  If it’s not up and running right away it will be shortly after.  So keep checking.

Feb 14th Valentines day


Well today was an exceptionally busy day.   Busy at work all day, busy when I got home,  busy getting my week ready. busy busy busy.  On top of it all, I posted I have tickets for sale.  Well much to my dismay, I sold out in 75 min.  That’s 10 books of tickets in 1.15 hours.   I’m so fortunate to have great family and friends who are so supportive, some of these people I don’t even know.

I’ve now got my pictures ready for “The Real Me” work shop,  I’ve got all my etransfers accepted for tickets,  I’ve messaged everyone I need to message, my lunch is made.  What am I forgetting?  Doesn’t sound like much when I look at this, but there must be more cause I’ve been busy since I came home.  Oh I went out with Sylvia too in between all this.

Well tomorrow is weigh and measure day.  I think I did pretty good, but the I thought I did good last time, and I gained. LOL!!!  shows you how much I know.

Well off to cross something else off my list and then off to bed.

Feb 12th 2017

Tonight’s dinner was brought to you by DELICIOUS

Extra Lean Ground Beef with shredded Carrot, quinoa and brown rice with some raw onion. Salsa or Tomato to top it off. It was like a taco without the shell that I didn’t miss.  My new food I tried was quinoa.  I’ve had a little taste of it before, but never cooked with it.  I feel so much better with healthy eating.

I bought a heart shaped donuts for hubby and Eve today.  I’m proud to say, I didn’t smell it, lick it, or even taste it.  I didn’t even miss it.  I did my prep food while they ate donuts.  A huge pot of Turkey chili, chicken and extra lean beef for my lettuce wraps.  Tomorrow will be turkey meat balls.  Yes prep is the way for me to be successful.   Thanks for following along and I’ll chat with you all tomorrow.16683876_10154141234966962_7753895532202025823_n

Feb 12 2017 – OHHH Happy Birthday Dad.

Good Morning everyone,

I was having a problem getting into blog for a few days.  Then I had an aww haawww Moment.  Re-login.  I’m not sure what happened.

I’ve come to the conclusion once again,  I”m not a gym person.  I don’t enjoy it, I never have. I have to fight to get there.  I was beating myself up and feeling guilty that I wasn’t going.  Then I wanted to eat cause I was feeling guilty.  What a weight off my shoulders since I’ve come to the realization, It’s ok if I don’t go  I’ll do other forms of exercise. I’m going to buy a bathing suit from one of my sponsors,  Rebel Kat.  I’m going to start swimming again.  I used to love swimming.  So that will be my form of exercise.  That and walking. I love walking outside.  My dogs are missing that too.  I’m not keeping up  with that.

Yesterday I went back to my new fav store. NATURE FARE.  I picked up some new goodies.

Eve my adopted/borrowed granddaughter/niece/buddy who is 9 came over.  I dragged her around shopping.  We went to Party City to get my costumes for the Amazing Race. Nothing to special, but managed to get out just under $100.00.  I wanted tutu’s but that would have been another $100.00.  She only lasted an hour then she had to sit in the cart.  We went to Natures Fare and she was to tired to walk there.  OK something is wrong she’s 9 and I’m pushing 54, and here i am pushing her in the cart.  Wanting to get back to play on the Ipad. Well today the kid will unplug, we will take the dogs for a walk, and get some groceries, and she can make valentine cookies for her to take home.

I’m very lucky to have the support from my family.  People are pledging and buying tickets from me, and I don’t even have the tickets yet.

I received some sad news tonight.  :(  however I can’t let it get me down right now.  I need to be there for my friend.

I was off work early today and was able to hit the gym by 1 today.  I’ve been so hungry the past two days.  I’m  not sure if it’s the weather or I’m needing more food.

Looking forward to the workshop coming up.  The Real Me.  It’s supposed to be a real tear jerker of a weekend.  I hope they don’t think I’m a terrible person if i don’t cry.  I’m not a big crier.  Things kinda just roll off my back.  My favorite phrase is “Whatever”.  I’m trying to change that around.  My Grandpa was the most laid back person and that was his phrase.

Tomorrow I have an appointment with the makeup lady at Shoppers.  Yes me,  I may be wearing more than chapstick.   This is all part of the challenge.  Getting out there and trying new things.

Soon I’ll be selling tickets.  They are $5.00 each or a book of 10 for $20.00.  That’s a great deal on a book.  How many would you like?  I’ve sold two books and I don’t have them yet. So first 8 people to message me and I’ll put them on hold for you.  You can etransfer the cash.

Feb 8th 2017

Well our meeting for tonight was cancelled due to weather conditions.  Some of our presenters come from Chilliwack and they got wacked with snow.  Better to be safe than sorry.  That means I really need to stay on track and keep going, as i’m not sure how i did this week.

Next Wednesday we weigh in for the Langley Times Voting week numbers so keep going!!!

I thought ohh since we didn’t need to weigh in today all i wanted was chips and cookies as I had another week to go.  I didn’t cave.  I found some protein and fought off the urge.

Voting starts next week on Thursday. –  Eeek that is 50% that gets me into the next round.  I’ll be asking everyone to please vote and share, vote and share to help me get the votes I need.  That’s 10 times a day per IP address  So everyone please vote,, vote and vote again.  

We have the Amazing race coming up.  I’ll be getting our costumes ready this weekend.  Getting pledges for the amazing race as well.

I just woke up from an evening nap.  Heather said I need to rest more.  So I need to listen.   I sure hope I can sleep tonight now.

I need to get to the gym more often.  I wish I had the same energy I had when I was 25.  I will get there tomorrow or do some exercise at home.

I had my session with Heather (the life coach) yesterday.  She recommend I get my values in order.

She also recommended I get more sleep to get healthy.  Sleep will help me get to a healthier me.

Feb 5th 2017

Well, there’s a few things I’ve learned along this journey.

1 – I need to prep. I need things handy and accessible when I’m making meals, and when I’ve got the munchies.
2 – I do like organic
3 – Not only do I like organic Celery, but I <3 organic carrots. OMG delish

I made it to the gym today.  Yeah…  I’m going to commit to making it to the gym more.  No more 3 or 4 days a week. I need to up my game.

Feb 25th is the amazing race day and that’s the day they cut it down to 15.  EEEKKK.

Three things I need to repeat,  Protein, water, gym.  Protein, water, gym….

I can do this. I’ve got this.  I will do this.

I was on my way to Natures Fare and I message Bonnie if she wants to come. I ventured up to her house to pick her up and off we go.  Kathleen from Natures Fare taught us even more great stuff today.  She is so knowledgeable.   I bought organic peppers, carrots, gluten free pizza crust, snacks, Apple Cider Vinegar with the mother!!!  I  don’t know why that is important but the mother is important.  Oh there was a bunch of other stuff I bought and I can’t wait to test it all.  I did some more prep.  This time snacks.  Little snack baggies of dried peas, and coconut chips and almonds.   Best thing was buying the celery.  It’s sooo yummy.

I made my gluten free pizza for supper.  It was pretty darn good. It had peppers, onions, and a small amount of feta cheese on it.




Well it’s a gym day tomorrow for sure.  today was shoveling the driveway.

Well that’s about it for me today.  Shoveling, shopping and prepping.  A great day.

It’s a wintery blustery day.  It took me awhile to get home today due to the commute in the snow.  I didn’t make it to the gym tonight roads were not the greatest.  I came home had a snack,  then made dinner then had another snack.  I’m wanting to snack on chips tonight.  Thank goodness for thin rice cakes.  They took the edge off.

Tomorrow is a new day. i’ll get to the gym then Natures Fare.  To get my celery.  I need to do some more meal prep.

That is the key for me,  If I’m prepped I’m good.  I grab that first.

I’ll let you all know when I get my celery.  I can’t wait to snack on it. yummm

Well today was a whirlwind of craziness.  I had my call with Heather,  we were enjoying our conversation.  My husband comes in and says,  “Teresa I think I need to go to the emergency”.  I excuse myself from Heather and off we go.  I didn’t go prepared except for water.  We wait 4 hours and hubby gets impatient and we leave.  I was enjoying myself.  I like people watching.  I was wondering what everyone was in for and chatting with a friend who happened to be up there. Helped a lady who passed out and you know just a regular day up in emerg.  So needless to say I got a late dinner in tonight.  We drive thru the drive through on the way home to get hubby some dinner. I passed on Tim’s.  I had dinner at home.

Last night we went to Natures Fare in Langley for a tour.  They gave us some moonshine,  yes I want to get some now,  they gave us some coconut chips,  yes I want some now,  they gave us some crackers,  yes I want some now,  they gave us some celery.  YES I WANT THAT TOO.   The celery was sooo good. I have been telling everyone about the celery.  I don’t know what it was about it, but the organic celery was awesome. I am dreaming of the weekend when I can go back when I have more time to do some shopping.

Well off to bed I go.  One more day at work.

Oh weigh in,  well I went up .6 of a pound.  but that’s ok. I was down in inches.  I’m ok with that.  I’m still going in the right direction.  Looking after my health.  I was just saying to my co-workers today, since I started the TMC I haven’t had to have one Tums.  As I’m not consuming the chocolate now.  That to me is worth all the hard work. I’m getting healthier.  Yeah me…

Ok good night now, I’m going to go and dream of celery.

Yesterday I was too tired to write.

I tried to get to the gym and drove around the building to find a parking spot four times then left.  Awwwww what a great excuse.  I came home and just relaxed after checking on a friend.

Today started off with a very funny video clip one of the challengers tagged me in.  She was drinking Aloe Vera. (Did you know that’s good for bathroom issues)  Well OMG I laughed so hard at my desk at 6 am that I need to watch it a couple of times.  It’s such a great way to start your day with laughter.  Thanks so much Bonnie for the laughter.  It really set how my day was.  Full of laughter today.  Lately I’ve been starting my day with Breakfast,  this is new to me.  I can see the affects it has.  I’m not wanting to pick thru out the day now.  I love starting out my day the right way.  Food and Laughter.

I was able to leave work a bit early today, and got to the gym before 3:30.  I did about 45 min there.  Then home to chill.

Tomorrow is weigh in day.  EEEKKKKK

It’s hard to believe this month is almost over.  Wow, I’ve  been on my journey already for 14 days.   I’m finding it much easier being prepared.  If I don’t have things all prepped in my fridge then I look in the fridge thinking what do I eat now.

All the recipes and ideas that are being posted in the group page.  OMG.  I keep running out to the grocery store to try new things.  I would never of thought I would have ate a purple cracker. But I did.  You know what?  It was good.   I was shocked!!  There called Exotic Rice Toast – Purple Rice & Black Sesame. I can have 7 of them.  Some yummy hummus on 5 of them and one piece of shaved turkey divided in half for the other two.    Another thing I’m going to try is Almond Butter.  hmmm.  I hope it’s as good as what every says it is.  I also made up today some avocado spread.  OMG it’s to die for.  I can’t wait to eat dinner tomorrow.  Ground Chicken over salad, avocado spread and salsa.  All this food I’m allowed.

I went to the gym this morning.  My hip was throbbing.  But I made it there.  I should’ve taken something for it before I left but I’m not one for pills.  Unless I really have too.  I wanted to do 15 on the tread mill, 15 on the bike and then the circut.  Thanks to Bonnie, as we got chatting as we usually do .  I got 15 on the treadmill at a light walk and 30 on the bike and a light circut in.  Tomorrow at the gym I think I’ll try and run. I’ll hold onto the sides though so it doesn’t sound like a heard of elephants running thru the gym.

Well now to get ready for tomorrow and we start all over again.  New challenges and new food. YUMMM.  Oh I didn’t meet one of our sponsors this weekend, but I will this week.

Gee today it was all about food.  LOL!!!  Try some of it, you’ll like it.

Rather than having munchies in my hand,  now I have my two favorite things.  My new water bottle (thanks Kennedy for thinking of me and getting the water bottle)                     and my new shaker cup from Herbalife.  The shaker cup will be good for work, when I’m busy and need to get a meal in with protein.  I can shake it at the office.  16406411_10154104780311962_7383127147220204751_n

Well I was up early today.  I’ve never been one to sleep in, but recently before the challenge I was sleeping in.  7 am, 8 am even 8:30 am.  That is huge for me.   This morning, Bailey (our dog) came in crying at 6 am. I got up and he didn’t want to outside.  I thought ugg back to sleep I go for a bit.  Then I thought, well I’m awake, I’ll check out the gyms website for their hours.  I find their website online FANTASTIC, I can go back to sleep.  They open at 8.   I made up an excuse I don’t have to go.  Yeahhh.  So back to sleep I go.  7 am  Same dog comes back in  crying.  So I thought, well I’m awake, I’ll adjust my day and eat my breakfast now, get down to the gym and back home to shower then back down to pick up Leanda another challenger and off we go to Abbotsford. Well I’m sure glad I did that.  I was only going to stay 30 min. Again,  just making excuses not to exercise.  As you can see exercise and me are not the best of friends.  Well I didn’t stay for 30 min,  I ended up staying for 60 min and I wasn’t late for anything.  That was my ahhhhaawww moment. I can do this.

Had a great morning/afternoon with Leanda out in Abbotsford meeting up with Faleen from #Herbalife.  We went over how I felt when we started the challenge, any challenges, how she can support me.  I was able to purchase some yummy protein bars, and a Chocolate protein drink.  I won’t have to make up the shakes in the night before so I don’t have to wake up the house with the loud roar of a 747 taking off in the kitchen.  It’s just a blender but it’s loud.  I bought this awesome shaker cup.  I love it.  It will do so much for me.  I just love the simple things.  I can put the powder in the container at the bottom, milk in the cup and take it to work.  My meal in a cup to go. Love it.

Catching up on some reading and getting organized for the rest of the day.  I kinda feel like having a nap.  It’s just that kinda day.

Before I MIGHT take a tap.  But when I say nap they last 5 – 15 min.  then I’m good.  People have been asking me why I wanted to do the challenge.   This is from my Bio

My friend was in the Langley Total Make Over challenge last year.  I followed her progress thru out her journey and I was so excited for her growth and her weight loss I remember thinking, I need to put that on my bucket list for 2017.  Well with the new year upon us, it’s time to look after me.  My health, my weight and my happiness.  I have a very busy job which I love going to everyday.  But I wasn’t taking the time for me.  I would eat at the side of my desk eating all the wrong things.  Come home and sit on the couch.  This is the year I take back my control.  Thank you for following me on my journey.  I hope I can be an inspiration to you, just like my friend was to me. 

That’s part of it, but I was sick and tired of being sick and tired.  I was tired of having a sore neck, sore shoulders, sore back, sore hip, sore knees and sore ankles.  I don’t typically complain but I’m falling apart.  It’s now time to put myself back together.  Also show people, no matter what or who you are and what you are going thru, you can get thru it and be healthy.  You just need to start.  I believe in you, you can do it just like I will.

I think I’ll go and eat something then think of a nap.  Or go and take the dogs for a walk.  Perhaps thats what I will do since they support me by waking me up to get to the gym.  See blog below.

Today was my day off.

I find myself jumping out of bed with more energy.  Finding my daily “What do I love about my self”  Today’s was putting on my sports bra and things were fitting in it a little better than last time I wore it.  YIPPEEEE..

Off to a meeting at our head office.  I purposely wore my work out clothes so I would make it to the gym.  She’s Fit one of the Platinum sponsors is a great place to work out.  The staff are so friendly and they want to see you be successful.  I’ve had several years of couch sitting so I’m working on that too.  I did an hour today.  After the gym I went grocery shopping.  I purchased a bunch of things I could prep for the week ahead of me.  Tonight I cooked up a large pot of Turkey Chili,  (soo good), grilled chicken, grilled pork chops,  Chicken/Feta/Spinach burgers,  cut up all my fruit and veggies. Being prepared is half the battle. If there is nutritious snacks available, I will reach for those rather than my old habit of the chip bag.

I’m signing off to get ready for my meeting with our nutritionist tomorrow.  One of the lovely ladies from Herbalife another Platinum sponsors.  My goal for myself this weekend is to go and meet another Platinum sponsor and introduce myself.  Once I do that I will blog who it was and how it went.  Reaching outside of my comfort zone.

This weeks challenge is to video ourselves every day and put a CD together.  Up to 4 min.  Everyone who knows me, knows I hate getting my picture taken, let alone stand in front of a video and talk.  uhh uhhh uhhh.  This whole experience is about trying new things.  Taking the challenges and working with them.  Stepping outside of your comfort zone.

Tonight’s meeting we learned were getting matched up with a person from Shoppers who is one of our Diamond sponsors.  I’m excited about that.  I have no clue about make up.  My make up bag consists of chap stick.  I have several in a variety of  shades and scents.

We also weighed in tonight and I’m down 5 pounds,  yes that’s right 5 pounds.  YIPPEE me.

I find my struggles are meeting new people and having a conversation with someone new.  I’m a shy person till you get to know me.  But the Total Make Over Challenge is challenging me to do this too.  It’s hard, but I’m trying.  I know it will get easier.  I’ll just try and step out of my comfort zone.  I have met a few ladies n the challenge who are very kind.  I’m looking forward to getting to know more of them.

Our first  group meeting.  We attend a meeting every Wednesday and learn healthier eating, nutrition and how important it is to drink water.  Did you know you take half your weight and for every pound you drink an ounce of water?  News to me too.

Through out the process we are given challenges.  This one was to find a sponsor and their business logo would go on my bio page.  Well  I put out a request to find sponsors for my site,  I had a co-worker message me right away she found one,  her best friend who owns a cute little clothing store in White Rock.  Rebel Kat Clothing.  Check them out.  ADORABLE.  The next one was my SIL messages me.  My brother wants to sponsor me.  ( I think it was to make up for all the mean things he did to me while growing up.)  But hey I’ll take it.  If you need any paint touch ups.  Contact him  He’s in Duncan and his business is called Ultra Auto touchups.   Another one came in and it’s PineRidge RV Park and Farm.  AMAZING…  The best campsite on the Island IMO.  Large large large campsites with Electric Hook ups in Campground in Qualicum Beach with views to sit and look at for hours and hours.  So peaceful.  Until the donkey starts talking.  The market just down the hill has fresh delicious things on the shelves.  The best Ice cream too.  Kris and her husband run the business.  I’ve known Kris for geee about 35 years if not longer.  My dear friend Sylvia also sponsored me,  She can paint anything with her line of paint she sells.  Very talented.  Check her out thru her business Out of the Shed.  She does what I’m trying to do.  A new transformation.  But she does furniture.

The first meet and greet for the Total Make Over Challenge.  It’s a bit overwhelming, but it’s going to be a great learning experience and journey.  I’m looking forward to meeting a bunch of wonderful partners.  I say partners because we are not in this alone.  Keep coming back for more blogging.  This is new to me as well.
